History of the Home:

Susan Tabia founded the Amazing Grace Orphanage in 1994. Susan was an orphan who was widowed at the age of 32. She moved to Northern Uganda after sensing several dreams given to her by God. When she arrived she began gathering the orphans into a home and from there Amazing Grace was created to provide food, shelter, education, and spiritual direction for the kids.

In 2004, Susan and coworker Ezbon Wudu, set out to create a second home for orphans in Sudan. A Canadian team of evangelists constructed 6 dorms, and shortly after they were completed, St. Bartholomew's welcomed 35 orphan children.
